There are currently three vacancies open for members: 1 shop steward and 2 safety & health committee worker members. Duties include:

Duties of Shop Steward:

a) Assist the Membership Committee Chairperson in the duties of his committee as outlined in Section 11.6.5.
b) Represent member(s) in the various steps of the grievance procedure as outlined in the Collective Agreement and/or in meeting with the Employer
c) Act as a liaison between the membership at large and the Executive.
d) Perform other duties as directed by the Union Executive.

Safety & Health Committee Worker Representative:

a) Duties include participating in performing workplace inspections, reviewing policies or procedures, sitting in on quarterly meetings, providing support to members on health and safety workplace issues.
