What positions, including your current position, have you held in the union? Shop Steward, Chief Shop Steward, Executive Officer

What made you want to become more involved in the union? I was going through some personal issues that were adversely affecting my work and my relationship with the employer. The union was of great support to me during this difficult time and helped mend my relationship with the employer. This was the reason I became a shop steward.

What do you find most gratifying about being part of the union executive? Achieving a positive outcome. Collaborating. Gaining knowledge and experience on dealing with a variety of issues.

What is the most frustrating thing about being part of the union executive? I don’t find anything frustrating. I’m here to help in any way that I can.

Why should someone consider becoming a part of the union executive? To help the members.
